As you know, the JetRock flooring system thrives in wet conditions. The single monolithic layer allows us to ensure a water tight barrier. JetRock has many times stopped leaking kitchens from leaking into adjacent rooms. We also do this in a number of different areas where water is an issue and can cause leaking. We have installed JetRock in shower rooms all over the country, because of our monolithic layer and base that goes up the wall to create a watertight seal. Nursing homes are particularly good fit because of the wheel chair access required in all the shower stalls. With this case we can install a roll over dyke to contain the water in the pan preventing it from creeping out into the room causing a potential slipping hazard. The JetRock floor is also durable enough to withstand the abuse that some wheelchairs cause to the floor and the walls by simply banging into them. This in the past would cause leaks in the shower room so the facility would have to shut the stall down until a repair was scheduled. JetRock solves all those problems and prevents any future scheduled maintenance for these areas. While the traction JetRock offers is not needed in the shower stall for the resident its is much needed for the nurse that is standing and cleaning the resident. The slipping hazard is reduced greatly and will allow for more secure footing and safety in these scenarios.
